From June 24 to 28, 2025, the fourth edition of Volcanic Attitude will explore a new journey between Naples, Vulcano island, and Stromboli.
It will be a Magnetic ⭈ Magmatic edition. An artistic journey through volcanic territories, where matter is transformed, energy is released, and invisible forces shape reality.

This edition will be an experience of deep connections: between the primary elements and their changing states, our perception of geological time and our vision of the future, the vibrations of the Earth's beating heart and the electromagnetic waves that pass through it. The magma pulsing in the bowels of the planet is an invisible thread that connects volcanoes, crosses the Earth's crust, and intertwines with our ideas, intuitions, and visions.
We will cross primordial landscapes and explore the power of transformation accompanied by performances, talks, and workshops by artists, scientists, and researchers from various disciplines. We will reflect on the invisible forces that govern matter: the heat that expands, the pressure that compresses, the energy that transforms and generates new equilibriums. From the porous lightness of pumice to the mirror-like density of obsidian, to the cycles of expansion and contraction of the Earth's crust and cosmological theories on the pulsation of the universe.
Volcanic Attitude 2025 is a nomadic festival that invites you to perceive transformation, tune into the frequencies of the Earth, and let yourself be carried away by the magmatic energy of change.

Sunrise and landing on Stromboli island, The Swiss artist Roman Signer returns to Stromboli, continuing his research dedicated to the volcano. In the morning the final destination of Vulcano for the evening Magnetica⭈Magmatica in dialogue with the protagonists of the festival.

Roman Signer's dedication to the island of Vulcano with a new performance. On this day we explore different areas of volcanic sedimentation of the island from the beach of black sands in the Bay of Ponente to the Valley of Monsters at Vulcanello, where the activations of artists Francesco Cavaliere and Luca Trevisani, born from a dialogue with Aeolian naturalist Pietro Lo Cascio, await us.

Immersion in the knowledge of volcanoes, in the imagery they generate in the perception of artists, in the fascination that captures the minds of scientists and researchers, in the curiosity that brings enthusiasts closer to the exploration of magmatic landscapes. Federica Di Carlo with volcanologist Francesco Sortino accompanies us with her artistic research into the transformative capacity of matter and the physical and chemical agents on the summit of the volcano. Symbolically, the day is an invitation to listen and meditate in an oasis of time suspended over the crater.
